This course will support trusted assessors that have already attended the Trusted assessor: assessing and adaption the home training to build confidence, refresh their knowledge and practice their skills in a supportive and safe environment.

Who is it designed for?

  • This course is designed for Trusted Assessors already accredited at level four
  • We recommend an annual refresher for Assessors

What are the learning outcomes?

  1. Understand changes to policy and legislation relevant to adaptations
  2. Increase confidence in conducting trusted assessments
  3. Be able to problem-solve and make recommendations from situations commonly seen
  4. Know a range of new equipment available to support independent living
  5. Increase confidence in measuring for minor adaptations and equipment
  6. Network with other trusted assessors and have the opportunity to learn from others
  7. Reflect on previous assessments and learn other solutions that may have helped.

How is it delivered?

  • Our refreshers are offered as a one-day face-to-face course
  • The course combines a refresh of theory with an up-to-date review of the latest adaptations equipment

We have chosen venues that we know well and that combine the advantages of great spaces for learning with the benefits of getting hands-on with a range of equipment. At these courses you will enjoy the blend of theory and practice and you can take advantage of the chance to network with peers during interactive sessions and in the refreshment breaks.
