This course has been devised in consultation with the industry for organisations involved in selling daily living equipment to enable their staff to be fully trained and certified to provide ethical and reliable advice.
Who is it designed for?
The course is suitable for sales staff, retail staff and anyone working in a customer services role within equipment provision for independent living.
What are the learning outcomes?
- Understand the basics of person-centred assessment
- Be able to describe the ethical sale of goods
- Have knowledge of the health and social care sector and the services they provide
- Be able to understand the impact of long-term conditions on a person’s life
- Understand the basic movements and ergonomics of the person
- Understand communication factors when assisting vulnerable people
